British experimental death metal rockers My Dying Bride have taken the genre to new depths and heights since their inception in 1990, adding distinctive touches to the tradition-bound sound of metal. Vocalist Aaron Stainthorpe often sings his lyrics, which gain a melancholy undertone to complement the grind of doom metal. Often achieving orchestral proportions and a haunting effect, the group has steadily increased in popularity over the years, and this 2003 concert, held at Hof Ter Lo in Antwerp, features the group at the height of their powers. The release also features three tracks from the 2003 Graspop musical festival in Belgium. The set list includes such songs as "A Sea to Suffer In," "The Cry of Mankind," "Sear Me," and "The Blue Lotus."
